The committee comprises members from diverse regions and backgrounds, representing a wide range of NCD lived experiences, care partner experience, technical knowledge and civil society leadership. In addition to this invaluable expertise, these members also bring a range of professional capacities, including advocacy, policy, education and academia, community engagement and awareness efforts.
The Advisory Committee will champion the meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs at global, regional, and national levels, contributing thought leadership to foster inclusive representation. During the 2026-27 term, the Advisory Committee will provide strategic direction and co-production to the Our Views, Our Voices initiative activities and resources, ensuring that the voices of those living with NCDs remain central to the NCD Alliance's work and to the NCD response. In light of the end of NCD Alliance’s current multi-year strategy and Global Week for Action campaign, as well as the 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs, they will also contribute to the strategic planning process in 2026.
In close collaboration with their national and regional NCD alliances, as well as NCDA members, the committee will bring context-specific insights, to enrich the knowledge and dynamism of the global NCD community. The NCD Alliance warmly welcomes these exceptional leaders to the Global Advisory Committee.
